PIN No. Blocked

Why is my phone requesting a PIN/PIN2/PUK/PUK2 code?

Your phone is equipped with one or more codes to protect it against unauthorized use. The PIN and PUK codes actually protect the SIM card which establishes the network connection.

Your Operator or Service Provider should be contacted for assistance with PIN and PUK codes.

The most common code is the PIN (Personal Identification Number) code, which is set by you. You can activate or deactivate the PIN by following the instructions from the User Manual.

The PIN2 code is a PIN code which acts as a second layer of protection for certain features of your phone. It functions in the same way as the PIN code (for more information refer the User Manual).

If incorrect PIN code is entered multiple times, your phone may request a PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) code. The PUK code is an 8-digit code provided by your operator or service provider.

If incorrect PIN2 code is entered multiple times, your phone may request a PUK2 code.

Please contact your operator or service provider for assistance with your PIN and/or PUK codes. If you have already contacted your service provider and the code provided did not work, you will have to obtain a new SIM card from your Operator or Service Provider.

Why is my phone requesting a security code?

Your phone is equipped with one or more codes to protect it against unauthorized use. Please note that the security code, which protects the phone, differs from the PIN code which protects the SIM card.

If your phone is prompting you for a security code and you have not activated one, please try the following:

Enter the default security code. Try this only once.
If your phone still requests a security code, please visit the nearest Rage Authorized Care Centre for assistance. You can find Rage Authorized Care Centre addresses from Contact us page on our website www.rage-mobile.com or call us at 1800-103-2565.

Why does my phone display "SIM card rejected" or "SIM card unaccepted"?

The SIM Card is provided by your Operator or Service Provider. They are the best source of assistance with SIM card problems. Your phone may display a SIM card error message if:

•   The SIM Card is out of alignment. If the phone has been dropped, bumped or opened, the SIM card may need adjusting. Follow the SIM Card installation instructions from the User Manual.

•   The PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) code is entered incorrectly multiple times. This can inactivate the SIM card. If the message continues to appear contact your Operator or Service Provider for a new SIM card.

If none of the above is the case and you continue to receive the error message then the SIM Card may be damaged. Get the SIM Card tested or replaced by your Operator or Service Provider. You can also visit Rage Authorized Care Center for assistance. Why is an IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number important and how do I retrieve the IMEI number from my mobile?

The IMEI number is a 15 digit unique code that is used to identify a mobile phone to a GSM network. The IMEI number can be retrieved by pressing keys *#06# and the 15 digit unique code will be displayed on the screen. In case your mobile is misplaced, the provision of this IMEI number to the Police and Telecom Service Provider can prove useful.

How do I protect my Rage phone from unauthorized use?

Some Rage handsets have Mobile Tracker feature. You can activate this feature by following the steps mentioned in the User Manual. If the Mobile Tracker application is activated in your handset then it will automatically send a SMS to a set recipient mobile number.

Ensure that you are using an original Rage Battery and Charger compatible with your phone model. You can check compatible models from the Accessories section.

If you have access to another Battery and Charger of the same type as yours, try replacing them to determine if the issue is with the phone, the Battery, or the Charger.

Even high-quality batteries like Rage's will eventually lose power retention capacity. If there is a need to replace the battery then make sure you purchase an original Rage Battery from an authorized Rage dealer.

Why do my calls break up / are dropped?

Dropped calls or low sound quality during calls are a result of low signal strength or momentary gaps in network coverage, either at your end or at the other end of the connection.

Your Operator or Service Provider should be contacted for issues regarding signal strength.

Signal strength is indicated by the signal indicators at the left side of the phone's display.

These indicators move up as the signal strength increases and down as the strength decreases.

To increase your phone's signal strength, try moving your phone slightly, or if you are making calls from a building then try to move towards a window.

If you continuously experience low signal strength in a particular area then may be the network coverage is very low there. Your Operator or Service Provider can provide you with more information on network coverage. If you believe that the problem is with your phone and not with the network, please bring your Phone to Rage Authorized Care Center for assistance. Find your nearest Rage Authorized Care Centre addresses from Contact us page on our website www.rage-mobile.com or call us at 1800-103-2565.

If there is a Headset attached to the phone, it will not ring through the Speaker but through the headset. Detach the headset and retest the phone to determine if that resolves the issue.

If the phone's profile is set as "Silent", "Flight", or any other profile where ringing is silenced, it will not ring. Change the profile to "General" or "Standard" and retest. Instructions for checking and changing your profile are included in the User Manual.

Ensure that a ring tone has been enabled and the volume is not too low. Instructions for adjusting volume and selecting ring tone are included in the user manual.

If call divert is activated, your calls will go straight to the Voice Mail without your Phone ringing. Instructions for activating and de-activating Call Divert are included in the user manual. For assistance with voice mail, please contact your Operator or Service Provider.
